Why talented producers stay stuck

You don't have a talent problem. You have a direction problem.

If you've been producing for a while, some of this will land uncomfortably close.

  • You start tracks. You don't finish them.
  • You open Ableton and don't know how to begin an idea with clarity and intention.
  • You've spent years learning, but progress is slow and results are missing.
  • You produce mechanically instead of from emotion, identity and intention.
  • Your music and your presentation still feel amateur next to the artists you admire.
  • You've tried YouTube, courses, maybe a teacher, and you still don't have a path that's yours.

Most developing producers spend too much time on the wrong things. They obsess over the technical side and neglect the combination that actually makes an artist: a distinctive sound, emotion, decision-making, brand, positioning and a real understanding of how the industry works.

What changes over three months

From unfinished ideas to finished records. From producer to artist.

Where most producers are

  • Dozens of 8-bar loops, zero finished records
  • Sounds like a mix of everyone they listen to
  • Every decision made by tutorial
  • Quality that's "fine" but not competitive
  • No plan for what happens after the export

Where the mentorship takes you

  • An original musical identity and a signature sound
  • A focused, efficient way to start, develop and finish records
  • 1–2 original tracks finished during the mentorship*
  • Production quality moving toward leading international artists
  • An artist project: identity, brand, releases, labels, bookings
  • Independence. You decide, you finish, no tutorial required

*For artists who complete the process and the work between sessions.

The 1LINE Method

Three pillars. One direction.

The structure is fixed. Everything inside it is built around you, your music and where you want to go.

01

Find your identity

Stop producing like a robot. Define your taste, your emotion, your influences and the signature sound that separates you from everyone else.

02

Build & finish

Learn how 1LINE starts ideas with intention, develops them, makes faster and better creative decisions, and finishes records that compete internationally.

03

Become the artist

Go beyond the export button. Connect the music to branding, social media, labels, releases, networking and promoters, and the path toward real opportunities.

Apply for mentorship
Format
3 months, 22 hours live. Month one: 4 sessions. Month two: 4 sessions. Month three: 3 sessions.
Between sessions
Direct WhatsApp access. Ariel typically answers within a few hours. Save the non-urgent questions for the next session so live time goes deep.
The work
Assignments and action steps between sessions. This is a working relationship, not a lecture series.
Studio quality, remotely
Zoom + ListenTo for lossless real-time audio, screen-sharing straight into your Ableton project, camera on so it feels like the same room.
Real projects
Ariel opens actual 1LINE Ableton projects, including signed and released material, to show the real decisions behind the records. Not theory.
What it can cover
Production, sound selection, sound design, arrangement, mixing, mastering, workflow, creative direction, signature sound, artist branding, social media, label strategy, demo submission, networking, DJ career, bookings, release strategy. Whatever moves you forward.
What it isn't
A bundle of sample packs and presets. The value is judgment, method, feedback and a decade of real-world experience.

Why this is not a course

Everything you can learn from a tutorial, you already have.

Information isn't your bottleneck. YouTube has it all. What you can't get from a screen is someone with real releases and real bookings listening to your track and telling you, honestly, what's wrong and what to do about it.

A course gives everyone the same lesson. This starts with a personal diagnosis of your music, your workflow and your goals, and then builds the three months around that.

Technical knowledge alone has never made an artist career. The mentorship connects production to identity, brand, positioning and execution, because that's the combination that actually gets you noticed.

Ariel Ben Ezra (1LINE) in the desert

About

Ariel Ben Ezra. 1LINE.

I've spent ten years producing and DJing, which means ten years of learning what actually works on a dance floor, not just in a DAW. I've played across Europe, North America, India and South America, and at [UNVRS] Ibiza as part of Anyma Presents ÆDEN, on a lineup alongside Solomun.

My music is released on Zamna Records, Simulate, ERRORR, Cercle and Armada, and it's been played by artists I grew up listening to, in rooms like Afterlife and Tomorrowland.

I've also produced events, so I've sat on the other side of the booth: I know how promoters look at artists, and why they book some and not others.

For the last five years I've mentored dozens of producers. The ones who broke through didn't need more information. They needed direction, honest feedback and someone in their corner who's actually doing it.

I don't just teach you how to make music. I teach you how the industry actually works, from both sides of the booth.

Fit

This is for serious producers. It isn't for everyone.

You're a fit if

  • You already produce in Ableton Live and know your way around it
  • You've made music, but you can't finish consistently or turn it into real opportunities
  • You want to build a sound and an artist project, not just get better at buttons
  • Melodic House, Melodic Techno, House or Techno is your world (other electronic directions can work too)
  • You'll show up, do the work between sessions and take honest feedback

It's not for you if

  • You're a complete beginner or you don't use Ableton
  • You want a library of tutorials to watch when you feel like it
  • You're looking for someone to promise you gigs, a label deal or streams
  • You want sample packs and presets more than judgment and direction
  • You're not ready to invest in your own project like an artist would
8

Eight artists at a time. That's the ceiling.

Every session is Ariel, personally, for two hours. That doesn't scale, and it isn't supposed to. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis: when you're accepted, you start when a seat is open.

No countdown timer, no fake deadline. Just a real limit on hours in a day.

Questions

Is this for complete beginners?

No. You need to own Ableton Live and understand the basics. The mentorship starts where the tutorials stop.

Which DAW do I need?

Ableton Live. Sessions work directly inside your project via screen-share, so we need to be in the same software.

Which genres are best suited?

1LINE's core expertise is Melodic House, Melodic Techno, House and Techno. Other compatible electronic directions can be considered; mention yours in the application.

What equipment do I need?

Ableton Live and a good pair of headphones. An audio interface is strongly recommended. A camera is recommended too, so sessions keep a face-to-face studio feel.

How are sessions held?

Over Zoom, with ListenTo for high-quality real-time audio streaming. It gets remarkably close to sitting in the same studio.

How long and how many?

11 sessions of 2 hours each over 3 months: four in month one, four in month two, three in month three. 22 hours of private time in total.

Can I contact Ariel between sessions?

Yes. Direct WhatsApp support is included, and Ariel typically replies within a few hours. Collect non-urgent questions for the next session so live time is used well.

Is it personalised?

Completely. The 1LINE Method gives it structure, but the work is adapted to your level, your music and your goals from the first session.

Will I finish music?

The process is designed around completing original work, and artists who do the work between sessions typically finish one to two original records in the three months. That depends on your participation. See the terms.

Does this guarantee gigs or a label signing?

No, and be suspicious of anyone who says otherwise. The mentorship builds the music, identity and industry strategy that create real opportunities. What you do with them is up to you.

How many artists are accepted?

Eight at a time. When a seat opens, the next accepted applicant starts.

What does it cost?

That's covered on the fit call, once we both know it's the right match. It's priced as a private, personal mentorship with an active artist, not as an online course.

11 sessions. 22 hours. 3 months. One direction.

Build a sound people recognise. And an artist people remember.
